Sardinia is a charming island in Italy… and today we are going to travel through it!
You can get there by ferry or plane – as we travelled by car from Germany, we took the ferry. Also, we had planned to take some time to enjoy the cities before our destination.
We took the ferry in Olbia and sailed all night long. The ferry had individual rooms and when we woke up, we were already in Sardinia. It was a super smooth trip with all the necessary structure, especially for us who were travelling with children.
We stayed in San Teodoro and rented a house in front of the sea which I would recommend if you have children.
The small city center was only 5 minutes walking distance and the night was very vibrant with street markets, shops, musical attractions, not to mention the excellent local gastronomy, lots of seafood, porchetta, pizza, handmade ice cream and of course…much Aperol!
The sea, which has crystal clear water and mild temperature, invites us not only for bathing, but also for the practice of many water sports. As we are supporters of SUP (Stand up Paddle), it was all what we did during almost the entire stay in the island.
